Elevate by Denver Health Medical Plan FAQ
Does Denver Health Insurance Plans offer the Colorado Option for health insurance?
Yes. With Denver Health Insurance Plans, you can enroll in any of these Colorado Option tiers: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
The Bronze tier covers approximately 60% of your out of pocket health care costs, after you meet your deductible. The silver tier covers 70%, and the gold plan covers about 80%.
However, each of these plans have an annual out-of-pocket cap. So regardless of which plan you choose, you are covered for 100% of costs above the out-of-pocket limits.
Does Elevate by Denver Health Medical Plans have a limited care network?
Yes, although you can receive emergency treatment from any provider. Elevate is a managed care plan, and so the organization sharply limits benefits they will pay if you receive care from an out-of-network provider.
However, some of DHMP’s Elevate plans give you more latitude to choose your doctor than others.
The lower-premium options have a narrow network that includes Denver Health facilities and providers, Clinica Family Health, Salud Family Health Centers, and the Metro Community Provider Network.
If you want a plan that has a broader network, you can choose from the two HighPoint plans available under the Elevate series of products.
Does Elevate include mental health benefits?
Yes. As an Affordable Care Act-qualified health insurance plan, Elevate includes benefits for mental and behavioral health issues. Elevate members have access to counseling services, drug and alcohol addictions treatment, psychiatric treatment, and more. Outpatient services from any in-network provider are covered without a referral.
Does Elevate include dental and vision coverage?
Yes. Elevate plans include dental and vision coverage from nationally-known insurance carriers at no additional cost to you.
Does Elevate by Denver Health Insurance Plans cover telehealth visits?
Yes.

Elevate is the best health insurance I’ve ever had.
I highly recommend Elevate. I know because my husband suffered a heart attack in November and the came through with flying colors.
The coverage is comprehensive and affordable, and their customer service is outstanding.
Denver Health - affordable and accessible
Denver Health has played a crucial role in ensuring our family’s well-being. The affordability and accessibility of healthcare services are commendable. The customer service team has been responsive and helpful, addressing our concerns promptly. However, there were a couple of instances where pre-authorization processes seemed a bit convoluted. While this didn’t significantly impact our overall experience, it’s a factor that holds me back from giving a perfect rating. Nonetheless, Denver Health has earned a solid 4 stars for the peace of mind it provides in terms of healthcare coverage.
Yikes! Denver Health Elevate Health Plans is a total disaster!
I cannot recommend Denver Health Elevate Health Plans. It was a nightmare dealing with their unhelpful customer service and limited coverage. The premiums were sky-high. I kept getting hit with out of pocket expenses and denials.
I felt like I was constantly fighting them. . Save yourself the headache and choose another insurance company.
Decent budget plan
I have mixed feelings about Elevate.. While their premiums are somewhat affordable, the coverage is average. Customer service was very slow, Overall, it’s an okay option if you’re on a tight budget. Would not recommend if you can afford better.
One sentence review: Denver Health Elevate Health Plans is nothing to write home about.
Decent Coverage, But Customer Service Could be Better
I had a decent experience with Denver Health. The coverage was pretty good and the premiums were reasonable. However, their customer service could use some improvement. They were often slow to respond to my inquiries.
Elevate is the best budget insurance in Denver!
Elevate from Denver Health has been a solid choice for me. The premiums are competitive and the coverage is comprehensive. While their customer service isn’t perfect, they’re generally helpful when I need them.
